Hill Climbing
Hill climbing is a very competitive sport involving driving against the clock over a road course at various venues around the country. As the name implies these courses are mostly uphill and vary in length, usually there are some sharp corners included as well as straighter sections.
Keith was born in October 1962, and from an early age it was obvious that he would have a keen interest in all things mechanical. From school he took an apprenticeship at a local independent repair garage/mot station, and it was during these early years that he began rallying at clubman level driving machinery as diverse as a Ford Escort mk1 1600 through to a Triumph TR7 V8 achieving a good degree of success. At world rally level Audi had introduced its revolutionary four wheel drive Quattro and like many people Keith admired its technical specification and shattering performance. After experiencing a friends Quattro road car in 1984 his love affair with the Audi had well and truly begun and during the next few years Keith owned no less than 4 cars of his own.
Prescott
In 1994 Keith took the bold decision to quit the garage where he had served his apprenticeship and to open his own garage that now bears his name, success has not come easily but with his determination and experience as he enters the second decade the future looks assured. In the mid nineties Keith decided to look to purchase a Quattro which would provide the basis for a Hillclimb car. Originally a long wheelbase 10 valve car work soon commenced in conjunction with Dialynx Performance to transform the car into the 750-800BHP Sport Quattro you see today.
Keith has for the past three seasons won Class “CII” in both the: "Clarkes BMW Motorcycles Midland Hill Climb Championship" This season the Main sponsor of the Midland Hillclimb Championship has changed to “UKCHANGES MIDLAND HILL CLIMB CHAMPIONSHIP” and "Power-Mec MSA Hill Climb Leaders Championship". Following his most successful year to date and with a winter of further development planned Keith is relishing the prospect of further honours in 2007 and perhaps the opportunity to chase for some class winning hill records.
